Welcome Stardust Listeners and thank you for joining us on United We Roll this Tuesday, the 6th day of July, 2010 as we take time to honor those who serve our country and who protect our freedom!! We hope you all had a peaceful and safe Fourth of July weekend.
We have a tremendous show for you all this week - as are they all. We have three very in depth and interesting visits. Two of these are with 2 of our deployed Heroes of Freedom and the third is with a very special Marine who is known by thousands for his incredible efforts to pay honor to those who serve, those who have fallen and those who have not come home. The show will actually end around 4:30pm Central, which puts us about 30 minutes over our usual two hour period. Remember, if you are not able to stay with us through the live show, it will repeat again on Wednesday evening, July 7th at 6:30pm Central. In addition, an MP3 copy will be placed on our show archive site for listening and downloading. You can reach our archive site at www.stardustradio.info or on the United We Roll page at www.stardustradio.com.
(2:08) During our first visit, we will be talking with MSG Jeffrey Villemarette, who is currently deployed with the 376th AEW/ESFS (Air Expeditionary Wing/Exp Security Forces Squadron), where he serves as the NCOIC of Investigations, Intelligence and Personal Security Details. Not only will we be talking about this very interesting job, we will also go into more areas such as the many facets of deployment, military life, being a citizen soldier who also carries a full time civilian career and much more. This is a very in depth and very interesting visit and I am sure we will all learn at least a few things from MSgt Villemarette. Also serving in law enforcement at home in his civilian life, MSgt Villemarette is yet another example of the giving personality that is so typical of our military members.
(3:07pm) Our next visit is with Army CPT Jeffrey Luffman who is serving on deployment with the 1st HBCT 3rd ID for a year, if all goes according to schedule. CPT Luffman brings us an American story of a young man who enlists in the Army as a PFC, uses his education benefits for college courses and then joins the officer ranks. He is with the Medical Services Corp, and is not only completing his admin duties, he is also supporting the 11 medical stations who look to his office for their supplies and much more. Capt Luffman brings us another wonderful visit as we talk about so many facets of his Army service. You cannot help but to be proud as you listen to this dedicated Hero of Freedom.
(3:51pm) Our third visit is with a US Marine who has been seen by many thousands of Americans who have attended Rolling Thunder in DC over any of the last 8 years. Many thousands more have seen the unbelievably heart grabbing videos on You Tube of SSG Tim Chambers as he stands at full salute in the street and in the heat for 3-4 hours as the thousands of bikers roll by during the Memorial Day weekend event. (If you have not seen this, check our blog for the link) SSG Chambers does this on his own vacation time to pay honor to our Fallen and to our MIA's , those who have not yet come home and are listed as Missing In Action. But huge as this is, it is only one of the efforts that this Marine makes on behalf of our country and for those who serve. This visit will be inspirational at the least and should make SSG Tim Chambers a familiar name in your households.
We would like to thank some folks without whom these visits today would not be possible. Our deepest appreciation goes to SSG Carolyn Viss, TSGT Jennifer Buzanowski and Mr Tom Conning. Of course, we thank our guests who somehow made time to chat with us and we thank their families, who also contribute to our country and our freedom.
Ladies & Gentlemen, we wish to thank all of you for joining us and we hope that you will be with us again next week when we will have more great visits from our Heroes of Freedom.
As always, our hearts and prayers go out to all of our military members, families, Veterans and to all of our first responders & their families - everyone who puts their lives on hold and on the line for us and our families.
We would like to remind anyone who is interested in health and legislative issues that impact those who protect our freedom to tune in to our other broadcasts – OFFE with Gene Simes and Jere Berry at 8pm Central on Tuesday nights and also with Rick Townsend and Firebase Network Sundays at 6:00pm Central.
Please remember, it is up to us at home to help our troops, not only with letters and care packages, but also by being aware of legislation in our states and in DC that will impact them and their families. We must do our part to insure that our Heroes of Freedom receive the benefits and health care that they deserve for keeping our country safe and free. It is the least that we can do for them and it is what we must do to help insure freedom for our children.
We wish you all a prosperous, safe and healthy week.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL & MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!
