Tuesday 12/28/10 2:00pm – 4:30pm Central (Live)
Wednesday 12/29/10 6:30pm – 9:00pm Central (Repeat)
Welcome Stardust Listeners and thank you for joining us on United We Roll this Tuesday, the 28th day of December and our last show of 2010.
We hope that our listeners here at home were able to enjoy the Christmas holidays with your loved ones and all of our deployed members were able to take some time to feel the spirit of this beautiful time of year with your military families stationed with you and able to feel all the love and oprayers being sent your way from us at home.
We are going to get right into our show as we are bringing four great visits with deployed members who are serving thousands of miles away from home and families as they stand guard over freedom. The show will end at 4:30pm this afternoon, about 30 minutes past our usual time of 4pm Central. Remember, if you are not able to stay with us through the show this afternoon, it will repeat again tomorrow evening, Wednesday, Dec 29th at 6:30pm Central. In addition, an MP3 copy will be placed on our show archive site for listening and downloading after the shows have been broadcast. You can reach our archive site at www.stardustradio.info or on the United We Roll page at www.stardustradio.com.
(2:08pm) Our first visit is with Air Force SMS Lisa Friend who was not only on deployment with the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing as the Wing Staff Superintendent, she also extended 30 days to work in the humanitarian assistance division there at Transit Center Manas. We will be posting an article in our blog with more information on the outreach and some involved members that will truly touch your hearts.
(2:48pm) Coming up next is our visit with Army Sgt Gregory Wallace of the 1-63rd Armor Battalion, 2nd Advise & Assist Brigade, 1st infantry Division, who is at the start of a 12 month deployment. As the Automation NCOIC, Sgt Wallace works in the high tech and very interesting field that includes computers, networks and satellites. From combat in 2006 to Operation New Dawn in 2010/2011, this soldier brings a lot to share with us and we look forward to another visit before his return to the states.
(3:24pm) Our third visit for this show is with Air Force member TSgt Carlyn Yonamine-Garcia who is deployed with the 332nd EMXG where she is the Plans, Scheduling and Documentation for Aircraft Maintenance and Engine Manager. With one month to go, we wish this dedicated Hero of Freedom a wonderful homecoming and reunion with loved ones.
(3:59pm) Our fourth and final visit for this week's show is with SrA Jaqueline Berry of the 332 ELRS - that is Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron. This unit covers many areas of responsibility and SrA Berry is in Traffic Management, making sure that cargo is processed and sent to its proper destination. This is another beautiful visit with a special American that will brighten your afternoon.
