Welcome Stardust Listeners -
We thank you for joining us on Tuesday, April 3rd.
April is the Month of the Military Child. One of the best articles I have seen that describes the lifestyle of a military child in a brief but thorough format is found in the Family Matters Blog (http://afps.dodlive.mil/2012/04/02/top-10-reasons-i-admire-military-kids/) and is called "Ten Reasons Why I Admire Military Kids". Family Matters can be found through Google for their dodlive blog or you can visit the Facebook page at DOD Family Matters. (http://www.facebook.com/pages/DOD-Family-Matters/170669122984498)

For this week's show, we are bringing you two outstanding interviews with deployed military members located far from home - one in the Kyrgyzstan Republic and the other in the Horn of Africa. Our show will end right at 4:00pm Central. Remember, if you are not able to stay with us through the afternoon, this show will repeat again tomorrow evening - that is Wednesday, April 4th at 6:30pm Central.
(2:15pm) We begin our first visit with SMSgt Craig Eyre of the 376th EOG (Expeditionary Operations Group) at Transit Center Manas, who is covering dual duty as the unit First Sergeant and in Flight Management. With 24 years of service and experience, SMSgt Eyre brings us a terrific visit and cover so many facets of the military lifestyle. As he states, "Hindsight being 20/20, there are things of my life I would change, choosing to serve is not one of them. Dotted with a great sense of humor, this is a very informational visit you will not want to miss.
(3:00pm) Our next visit takes us to the Horn of Africa, where we have the honor of speaking with CH/CAPT Brett Anderson, who is deployed with Task Force Raptor. Chaplain Anderson's journey that has led him to Djibouti, Africa is most interesting, yet it is clear that this is the correct destination. This Chaplain's dedication to serving those around him is very clear whether in faith services, counseling or just listening. Flying out to smaller bases/camps where troops await his service on a regular basis is just as important as seeing to the men and women who are stationed at his location. This visit is as uplifting and inspirational as is Chaplain Anderson and should comfort any family members to know that he or one of his counterparts are looking after their deployed loved ones. I should add that we continue to learn more about the Horn of Africa as well.
We have some truly wonderful music to share with you as well. Songs that were written and performed with our Heroes of Freedom and their families in mind and heart.
Once again we are very grateful to have the opportunity to bring you these beautiful visits with our Heroes of Freedom today and every Tuesday. We hope that you have enjoyed them and will join us again next week, Tuesday, February 21st for more interviews and news from our military members as they stand guard over our country and our freedom.
As always, our hearts and our prayers go out to all of our military members and Veterans, our first responders and to all their families, who also serve.
Of course, we thank all of you, our Stardust Listeners, for tuning in to United We Roll and to all of our programs here at Stardust Radio today and over the past ten years.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL & MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!
